In-store phone transfer: staff workflow

SmenaFon turns data transfer into a repeatable service: staff start a session, show QR codes, monitor progress and close with a PDF acceptance act.

Workflow at the desk

Staff enable store Wi-Fi or a PC hotspot, pick transfer direction and start a session. The customer connects both phones via QR, sends from the old device and receives on the new one.

  • · Temporary session folders are deleted when done.

Day one checklist

A typical first agent setup at one desk takes 15–20 minutes without stopping sales.

  • · Download and install SmenaFon Agent (MSI) on Windows 10/11.
  • · Register the store and activate the license in the dashboard.
  • · Run a test session on a demo iPhone + Android pair.
  • · Show staff the guide and the short video on the homepage.
  • · Print a sample PDF act for customers.

What the owner gets

The dashboard shows licenses, agents and aggregated session counters. File contents and customer filenames are not sent to the SaaS.

FAQ

Do we need a Lightning or USB-C cable?
No. Both phones connect over Wi-Fi via QR codes in the browser (Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android).
Where do customer photos and contacts go?
Only to the local network at the desk (192.168.x.x). smenafon.ru receives license and aggregated session stats, not file contents.
How long does a typical transfer take?
From 3 to 15 minutes depending on photo volume and Wi-Fi. Large archives may take up to 30 minutes.
Can we work without internet in the store?
Yes, after license activation a PC Mobile Hotspot is enough. Internet is only needed for first activation and the dashboard.
