Phone transfer without Google Drive
Google Drive is fine for storage, but not for a quick in-store or home handover: upload, wait, download. SmenaFon skips the cloud entirely.
Why Drive is slow for handover
1 GB must upload then download. At 10 Mbps that is 15–20 minutes upload alone. Local Wi-Fi on the same LAN is often 10–100× faster.
- · Cloud: limited by internet (often 3G/4G in malls).

- · No direct device-to-device mode in Drive.
Offline Wi-Fi with SmenaFon
Phones join the same network (store router or PC hotspot). Data goes directly; smenafon.ru only sees license and counters.
When cloud still makes sense
Long-term backup and sync across many devices — use Drive or iCloud. For a one-time handover in a store, local Wi-Fi is the right tool.
